RECRUITMENT FOR FACULTY, PARAMEDIC & INSTRUCTOR POSITIONS

IMU Mumbai Port Campus Recruitment 2026: Indian Maritime University (IMU), Mumbai Port Campus has issued an official recruitment notification (Advt. No. 08/IMU/MPC/Recruit/C/V/2026) inviting applications from eligible candidates for filling up 20 vacancies on a contractual and visiting basis. The vacancies include positions for Faculty (Nautical Science), Faculty (Marine Engineering), Paramedic, Workshop Instructors, Lab Assistants, and Gym Instructor. Eligible candidates can submit their updated CV and signed IMU-MPC application form via email to recruitment.mumbaiport@imu.ac.in on or before 30th November 2026 (up to 18:00 Hrs).

2	Faculty (Marine Engineering) (05 Posts)	MEO Class - I (Motor) Certificate of Competency issued by DG Shipping, Govt. of India. Minimum 6 months sailing experience at Management level under STCW Convention. VICT / TOTA Course Certificate (or willingness to complete before joining).	Preferably below 62 Years
3	Paramedic (01 Post)	B.Sc. Nursing / Diploma / Degree from a recognized University or Institute. Desirable: 01 year of experience in the relevant field.	Preferably below 55 Years
4	Workshop Instructor (Marine Engineering) (02 Posts)	Marine Fitter from Merchant Navy; OR Petty Officer of Marine Engineering Branch from Indian Navy / Coast Guard; OR Near Coastal Voyage (NCV) Class IV Engineer. Desirable: 06 months of relevant work experience.	Preferably below 57 Years
5	Workshop Instructor (Electrical Engineering) (02 Posts)	3-year Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from an AICTE approved institute; OR Petty Officer in the Electrical Branch of Indian Navy / Coast Guard. Desirable: 01 year of experience in the relevant field.	Preferably below 57 Years

3. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Faculty Posts: Conducting teaching and practical training for Pre-Sea courses (B.Tech Marine Engineering, PGDME) and Post-Sea courses (Competency, Modular & Simulator courses).
• Workshop & Lab Instructors: Instructing students, assisting faculty in Workshops/Simulators, equipment maintenance and upkeep, and training Inland Vessel Crew.
• Paramedic: Providing medical care, first-aid, and health assistance to students and cadets at the campus health center.
• Gym Instructor: Maintenance of gym equipment, training cadets/students, and overseeing regular fitness activities.

4. SELECTION PROCEDURE & HOW TO APPLY

Selection Mode: Physical Interview (No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview).
