RECRUITMENT FOR SENIOR AGRICULTURAL ENGINEER POSTS
Ministry of Agriculture Senior Agricultural Engineer Recruitment 2026: The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India has released a vacancy notification for recruitment to 02 posts of Senior Agricultural Engineer (General Central Service, Group 'A', Pay Matrix Level 11: Rs. 67,700 – 2,08,700) on a deputation (including short-term contract) basis at Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institutes. Eligible officers holding analogous posts or required experience in Agricultural/Mechanical Engineering can submit their applications through proper channel within 60 days from the date of publication in Employment News.

A. Cadre / Service Eligibility:
Officers under the Central Government, State Governments, Union Territory Administrations, Public Sector Undertakings, Agricultural Universities, or recognized Research Institutions/Statutory Bodies:
- Holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre/department; OR
- With 5 years' regular service in Level 10 (Rs. 56,100 – 1,77,500) or equivalent in the parent cadre/department; OR
- With 7 years' regular service in Level 7 (Rs. 44,900 – 1,42,400) or equivalent in the parent cadre/department.
B. Essential Educational Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational Degree: Degree in Agricultural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
- Experience: 5 years' experience in operation and maintenance of tractors, agricultural machinery, and allied equipment (including teaching experience) in any Government or private listed organization; OR 5 years' experience in handling independently testing and evaluation of farm machinery and agricultural implements in any Government or private listed organization.
C. Desirable Qualification:
- Post Graduate Degree in Agricultural Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
- Places of Posting: Central Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute at Budni (Madhya Pradesh), Northern Region FMTTI at Hisar (Haryana), Southern Region FMTTI at Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh), North Eastern Region FMTTI at Biswanath Chariali (Assam), or Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Hqrs (New Delhi).
- Period of Deputation: Initially for 1 year, extendable as per DoPT guidelines.

Applications of suitable and eligible officers who can be spared immediately must be routed through proper channel along with the following required documents:
- Curriculum Vitae / Bio-Data in triplicate in the prescribed proforma (Annexure-II).
- Attested photocopies of Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APARs/ACRs) for the last 5 years.
- Vigilance Clearance Certificate, Integrity Certificate, Cadre Clearance Certificate, and Statement of major/minor penalties imposed during the last 10 years (Annexure-III).
