APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR, INTERNATIONAL CENTRE
Savitribai Phule Pune University Director Recruitment 2026: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Pune has released an official recruitment advertisement (Advt. No. 23) for appointment to the post of Director, International Centre (01 Unreserved Post) created from the University Fund. The position carries a tenure of 5 years or until superannuation in Academic Pay Level 14 (Starting Entry Pay Rs. 1,44,200/- + allowances). Candidates with a Ph.D. degree and a minimum of 15 years of teaching or research experience (equivalent to Professor) with essential knowledge of the Marathi language are eligible to apply. A. Essential Educational Qualification & Experience (Category A):
- An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline with published research work of high quality.
- Minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals with a total research score of 120 as per Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Regulation 2018.
- Minimum 15 years of teaching experience in University/College as Assistant Professor / Associate Professor / Professor, and/or research experience at an equivalent level in University/National Level Institutions.
- Evidence of having successfully guided at least one doctoral (Ph.D.) candidate.
OR (Category B):
- An outstanding professional having a Ph.D. degree in relevant/allied/applied disciplines from academic institutions or industry who has made significant contributions to knowledge, supported by documentary evidence of 15 years of experience.
B. Desirable Experience:
- Administrative experience coordinating administrative and academic processes of a large university.
- Experience handling foreign delegations, collaborative matters, and managing international students' affairs.
- Exposure to teaching or administration in a leading foreign university and implementing policies for international linkages.
