RECRUITMENT FOR SCIENTIST-C POSTS ON DIRECT RECRUITMENT BASIS
WII Dehradun Scientist-C Recruitment 2026: The Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Dehradun, a premier autonomous institution under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India, has released an official recruitment advertisement for filling up 03 vacancies of Scientist-C on a Direct Recruitment (D.R.) basis. Candidates holding a Ph.D. degree in Wildlife Science or relevant disciplines with a proven academic record are eligible to apply. The posts carry a pay scale under Pay Matrix Level 11 (Rs. 67,700 – 2,08,700/-). Eligible and interested candidates can send their offline applications in the prescribed Annexure-3 format via Speed Post or Registered Post on or before 02nd December 2026 (up to 5:00 PM).

A. Essential Educational Qualification:
- Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) awarded in Wildlife Science / Zoology / Botany / Forestry / Environmental Sciences or relevant allied subjects from a recognized University or Institution.
- Consistently good academic record throughout high school, graduation, and post-graduation degrees.
B. Desirable Experience & Skills:
- Research experience in wildlife conservation, ecology, biodiversity assessment, or natural resource management.
- High-quality research publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals of national and international repute.
- Experience in field surveys, statistical data modeling, GIS/Remote Sensing, or managing research projects.
C. Age Limit & Relaxations (as on closing date):
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 35 Years as on 02nd December 2026.
- Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen and Departmental candidates as per Government of India guidelines.
Selection Procedure:
- Initial screening and shortlisting of applications based on educational qualifications, research experience, and publications.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for a Personal Interview and presentation before the Selection Committee at WII Dehradun.

- General, OBC, and EWS Male Candidates: Rs. 1,000/-
- SC, ST, PwBD, and Female Candidates: Fully Exempted from Fee Payment.
- Payment Method: Demand Draft (DD) in favor of
